Student entrepreneur attests to invaluable support from Nile University of Nigeria and the Honoris Collective Lab

14 April 2024 – Tochukwu Ifeanyi, an accounting student at Nile University, was crowned the winner and the award of N5 million in the women-led category at the 2023 WEMA Bank Hackaholics competition. Organized by one of the largest Lagos-based Nigerian commercial banks, Tochi presented her venture Outsidee – a platform that provides a robust search engine for entertainment needs – at both the regional and national finals against the competition of tech and digital changemakers.

Tochi attributes the success to an extensive support network found at the Honoris Collective Lab that provided her with critical skills and direction, including self-confidence, guidance on the business, and mental resilience. This included both staff from the institution and alumni who provided guidance and skills towards the development of her project.

The Nile University of Nigeria and the Honoris Collective Lab continue their efforts to raise the next generation of successful innovators and entrepreneurs, providing an enabling environment and a menu of services to support their growth.
