Nile University, Abuja Global Shapers Community Launch Mentoring Program For Students
Equipping students with 21st-century skills
Nigeria, June 3rd, 2021 – Nile University, Nigeria in collaboration with the Abuja Global Shapers Community (Abuja GSC) recently commenced a mentoring program for the University’s students.
The Abuja GSC is a global organisation with over 400 hubs worldwide. The organisation provides an avenue for top professionals in various sectors of Nigeria to come together to tackle pressing issues in the country.
This initiative is part of the global MOU between Nile University of Nigeria and Abuja GSC in December 2020 that carries numerous benefits to students; including sponsorship opportunities for skill acquisition programs, and funding for business ideas, among others.
The program is designed to equip the University’s students with crucial 21st-century employability and entrepreneurship skills. During the program, Abuja GSC’s professionals will be assigned to select Nile students to provide them with vital knowledge and support to boost their employability.
Individuals present at the program’s commencement included Mr. Murat Akyildiz (Chief Student Services Officer, Nile University), Mrs. Modupe Aleshinloye (Director, Student Affairs Department, Nile University), Mr. Johannes Tobi Wojuola (Curator, Abuja GSC), to name a few.
