Laura Kakon named Top 10 finalist for Africa Education Medal 2023

May, 16 2023, We are thrilled that today, our Chief Growth and Strategy Officer, Laura Kakon, is named as a top 10 finalist for the Africa Education Medal 2023.

Last year, T4 Education launched the Africa Education Medal in partnership with HP and Microsoft, to shine a spotlight on the #changemakers that are making a difference to the state of education in Africa. The list includes multiple visionaries in the education sector working hard to increase impact and harness the opportunity of the largest youth demographic in the world. From pre-k12, secondary, to post-secondary, the annual award recognizes measurable impact and transformation, whilst inspiring and leading others towards a vision for change in education and encouraging action from the sector.

Having been at the forefront of Honoris’ inception in 2017, Laura is in charge of identifying and steering Honoris’ long-term growth strategy and driving value creation across the student journey through differentiation, digitization, and innovation. Laura is passionate about women’s leadership and entrepreneurship. She has advocated for greater access to STEM, maker spaces, coding as a second language, and 21st-century skills; promoting collaborative intelligence amongst Honoris faculty and staff to increase access to relevant education to transform lives for lifetime success.
