Honoris Leaders Champion African Solutions for AI-Driven Education at eLearning Africa 2025
09 May 2025 – At this year’s eLearning Africa Conference in Dar es Salaam, leaders from across the Honoris United Universities network shared bold ideas shaping the future of learning on the continent.
From contextualizing African education to solve local challenges, widening access to quality education at scale, and upskilling educators through digital and AI literacy, the future of learning in Africa was powerfully demonstrated. Honoris discussions included:
- Asmaa Fenniri, Morocco, presented our large-scale pilot on Generative AI and Adaptive Learning Systems and joined the annual Plenary Debate on AI and indigenous knowledge.
- Tamara Sweet, South Africa, led a session on Women’s Leadership across academia and entrepreneurship.
- Fatma Belkadhi, Tunisia, presented our learnings on how AI is revolutionizing health education.
- Anjola Ogunrombi, South Africa, shed light on Honoris strategies to expand affordable, high-quality education in Africa.
This year’s conference brought together over 1,200 participants from 82 countries under the theme: “Reimagining Education and Human Capital Development for Africa’s Future Prosperity.” Honoris proud to contribute to the continent’s response to shaping relevant, inclusive education for the prosperity of communities across Africa.
