EMSI Students Represent Morocco at the Invisible Festival in Brussels
15 April 2025 – Students from LPRI at EMSI Casablanca, a member of Honoris United Universities in Morocco, proudly represented the country at the 2nd edition of the Invisible Festival in Brussels with a groundbreaking project merging AI, history, and immersive technology.
Their innovative contribution featured a meta-human avatar of Zaynab an-Nafzawiyyah, the visionary 11th-century Moroccan queen, brought to life with speech, emotions, and interactivity. The project offered a compelling tribute to this historic figure, blending large language models, extended reality (XR), and cultural heritage.
This achievement highlights EMSI’s commitment to cutting-edge innovation and the creative potential of its students to build meaningful bridges between technology and tradition, gender and history, past and future. Laboratoire de Projet de Réalité Immersive (Immersive Reality Project Lab) at EMSI Casablanca is a specialized innovation lab where students explore and develop projects using immersive technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), and more recently AI and Extended Reality (XR).
