Honoris Medical Simulation Center hosts the first African Fertility Summit
26 April 2024 – The African Federation of Fertility Societies (AFFS) chose the Honoris Medical Simulation Center to host the pre-congress activities of the 1st AFFS congress on April 25, 2024. Subsequently, the activities of the 1st AFFS Congress were held at the “Laico” Hotel in Tunis on April 26 and 27, 2024. The scientific program focused on the theme “Opportunities for fertility management in Africa“. It covered topics in vitro fertilization, vitrification, fertility and simulation.
In the Honoris Medical Simulation, six workshops were held in parallel (1st, 3rd and 5th floors of the Medical Simulation Center:
- Two workshops on MAP (Medically Assisted Reproduction) were held on the 1st floor (Medically Assisted Reproduction: Oocyte puncture and embryo transfer).
- Four workshops with theoretical content for the continuing education of obstetricians in the field of fertility (3rd and 5th floors)
This organization is a first of its kind, an international pre-congress bringing together 190 obstetricians/gynecologists for a day of exchange and training. All African countries took part in the pre-congress, and were in close contact with the Honoris United Universities Medical Simulation Center. Representative members of the IFFS (International federation of fertilities societies) also visited the Medical Simulation Center.
