JAMII Femmes celebrates Nigerian women entrepreneurs in closing ceremony
7 July 2023 – Africa’s future women entrepreneurs were celebrated in Lagos this month as part of the last bootcamp in the first cohort of Women in Africa’s JAMII Femmes initiative.
Representing Honoris United Universities, Nile University’s Dr. Fausat Aleshinloye, Head of Student Services, and Mr. Gerald Osugo, Chief Marketing Officer attended the event to congratulate the women who took part in this life-changing initiative. One of the most successful female entrepreneurs, CEO and Founder of MainOne Mrs Funke Opeke, was also in attendance alongside General Manager of BUA Group, Mr Tajudeen Ahmed.
We continue to support the program as the Official Knowledge Partner, already impacting over 7,000 lives in Nigeria, Kenya, and Cote d’Ivoire in collaboration with the Coca-Cola Foundation.
Dr. Fausat received widespread recognition and gratitude for the support given from Honoris throughout the course, particularly the delivery and application of the Honoris 21st Century Skills Certificate and heightened interest in the Honoris Collective Lab. She also commented on the unexpected joy of meeting a parent of a current Nile University student, learning that both mother and daughter had recently completed the Honoris 21st Century Skills Certificate.
The JAMII Femmes initiative has since expanded into Algeria, Egypt, and South Africa for Cohort Two.
