World Economic Forum Awards Honoris United Universities for Excellence in Adaptive Capacity

December 2nd, 2022 – Since our inception in 2017, we have always followed with admiration those collective organizations that seek to create sustainable, positive change in the world. The World Economic Forum is one of the foremost examples of this, and we are honored to be among the New Champions community of 118 dynamic high-growth companies (amongst which only 8 are African), championing new business models, emerging technologies, and sustainable growth strategies in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

At the New Champions Annual Retreat in Geneva last week, our Chief Growth and Strategy Officer, Laura Kakon, had the chance to engage with peers from this community to discuss ways to tackle the challenges of an increasingly changing world.

We are thrilled to announce that Honoris United Universities was selected as the winner of the New Champions Award 2022 for Adaptive Capacity. Read more about the awards here: bit.ly/3P85GGA

Adaptive capacity for Honoris is not just a reaction to the changing landscape of education post-pandemic but an integral part of our DNA. This award is thanks to the dedication of the People of Honoris who continue to transform communities through the power of accessible, quality education.

Honoris Group CEO, Dr. Jonathan Louw, commented: “As we come to the end of another year of continued change across the globe, we are humbled to receive the award for Adaptive Capacity from the World Economic Forum. 2022 has been an exceptional year for our network, we have graduated more than 20,000 students across our institutions, and our student number grew to over 71,000. This is thanks to the passion and dedication of our people. The World Economic Forum award demonstrates the power and capability of unity in working toward a common goal, and as we head towards a new year, we recognize that our adaptive capacity as people and as an organization will continue to be crucial in our efforts to transform the continent.”
