Honoris United Universities welcomes 3,000 African women entrepreneurs to Women In Africa programme

October 4th, 2022 – This month, we have been proud to welcome the first cohort of 3,000 African women entrepreneurs of the JAMII Femmes programme launched by Women In Africa and supported by The Coca-Cola Foundation.

As WIA’s knowledge partner with a number of years of successful collaboration and mutual objectives, we are thrilled to host these women, each of whom has been recognised as ‘Women Change Makers’ on our digital programme this month. This comprehensive programme covers the topics of entrepreneurship as well as social and personal skills, while also giving them the opportunity to put their newly-acquired skills into practice and expand their networks by joining the WIA platform.

The call for the second cohort applications will open soon, with the opportunity to join a network of 7,000 female African entrepreneurs and local experts to receive online training, take part in local bootcamps, and get incomparable support in moving their businesses forward. Over the entire program, Honoris is proud to support in the training of a total of 20,000 women entrepreneurs from 10 African countries in the next three years.

WIA is the world’s leading international platform for the economic development and the support of African women entrepreneurs. Honoris United Universities has been a proud partner of the Women in Africa Initiative since the first edition in 2017. The shared values of its efforts to strengthen the role of women in Africa’s development lie at the heart of our own Education for Impact mission – and our passion to support female leadership and entrepreneurship.

Since the beginning of our partnership, we have supported no less than 816 exceptional young women, driven by their goals and dreams to transform the African continent, by offering programmes enabling them to develop their entrepreneurial, behavioral, and digital skills in line with the current trends of our evolving world.
